I have been many times over the years, but this summer went to "Young Frankenstein". It was a funny, adult-themed play, done very well by the troupe! The building is historic, charming, and comfortable thanks to the years of upgrades made to the seats and...More

The place is historic and quaint. Food in dining room is excellent but slow and waiter was new, so he made a lot of mistakes and dropped a whole tray of food...luckily for us it was for another table. Theater is local talent and amateurish...More

We've gone to several of the shows at Lakewood. The theater itself is comfortable, the actors are usually locals. They put a lot of work into these shows, the costumes, the stage props. I think it's a great way to spend a nice warm summer...More

10 productions in the Summer. Each production is 2 weeks. Dinner across the way is excellent, and reservations are a must. The theater itself is "tired" and I hope the beautiful building will be kept up. Acting is by local adults, students, and semi-professional actors....More

This is the oldest, continuously running summer theater in the U.S., based on publicity, & it was in its prime back when actors like Cary Grant performed in plays here before they went on Broadway. Now, it's a simple, amateur theater with lots of heart,...More

No A/C. The place gets too hot in the summer to be enjoyable. The seats lean to the side. Prices for tickets are to high considering this is amateur theater in an uncomfortable and hot venue.
