No trip to the Greater Portland area is complete without a visit to the Spring Point Ledge Light and all the other lighthouses within a few miles. I revisited with two friends who also like to stop here at least once a year. It's one...More

It's fun to walk out on the granite ledge and marvel at how they made this walkway. This isn't for the very young or old as it's tough to navigate and you could easily all and hurt yourself.

Spring point ledge lighthouse is a scenic and pretty place to visit. The jetty that reaches out to it is a great way to get exercise. Take your time on the rocks they are irregular and require careful stepping. On a beautiful day it is...More

One of the smaller lighthouses of Portland, ME. You are not allowed to walk out to the actual lighthouse. Nice view from the bulkhead.

If you have never walked out to the iconic “Sparkplug” lighthouse, you should do so. The distinctive shape is what earned Spring Point Ledge Light it’s nickname. When you get to the end of the breakwater, you will be rewarded with great views of the...More

Very scenic and pretty lighthouse located at the end of the breakers, you can walk out on the rocks, just be careful if they’re wet. Lighthouse was closed when we were there, but you can see the cruise ships if they are docked in Portland.

Really cool Lighthouse to check out if you're in the area! Beautiful views from this park. I did not walk all the way to the lighthouse due to it being so windy and cold. The walk to the lighthouse is large rocks and not 100%...More

It’s a nice lighthouse out on the long rock wall. It was pretty nice to see. Lighthouses and Maine go together so seeing it was cool.

Warning: if you are unsure of your balance or footing, then walking out to the lighthouse is not recommended. Years ago, a rowboat was required to get to the lighthouse. Eventually they laid stones from the park to the lighthouse. But the stones are uneven...More
