Worth a visit!

Great lighthouse that's easily accessible to get all the way up to by a large rock break wall. We enjoyed that you can even go inside for a free tour!

We went here with our 2 and 4 year olds. It was a little scary with kids that age because the cracks are pretty large and easy for little people to fall. The walk is longer than it appears in pictures. However, it was very pretty.

Walking out to the lighthouse was a a challenge because the pier was made of large granite stones that extend about 1/3 of a mile. There are gaps and uneven surfaces that can trip you up if you are not careful. It is NOT handicap accessible. However, if you are fit and able, it is an exhilarating trek to get... More

We love seeing lighthouses even if you cant go up in them. We met two gentlemen fishing while there. One of the gentleman is a photographer and he told us that he sells his photos on coasters down on commercial street. We were able to locate him and bought some coasters. It was nice to support local businessmen. you get... More

During the ride on our 13 mile bicycle trek, we visited 3 lighthouses. This one was at the water's edge next to a college. After spending time at the Porthead Lighthouse, this was a bit of a disappointment, but it was lovely as well.

We chose to visit this light because it's between Head and Bug. It was easy to get to and I liked that it wasn't the "typical" light style.

The lighthouse was super cute with a very fun, and anxiety inducing walk over rocks to get too, however we were disappointed that we couldn't go up because our kids were smaller than 51". Cute little gift hut where you buy the tickets.

This was such a lovely find! We heard of a few lighthouses to visit and this one was so fun! We first saw the "Hazardous Footing" sign, but had no idea what an exciting walk we'd have out to the light. We really enjoyed the trek; hopping over the rocks was a big thrill to our kids, and fun for... More

The lighthouse guides have a ton of information. Wear shoes that you are able to climb in because there are ladders to climb up and rocks to climb over.

The walk out on the jetty alone is worth your time. Kids loved hopping on the big rocks to get out to the lighthouse. The lighthouse was cool, the guides informative and the harbor views were awesome.
