It’s a very short walk to get to the lighthouse and you cannot get into it. The whole park area is really worth the trip. Great views of the city from across Casco Bay.

We stopped here as we were leaving town. There are great views of the bay and the tiny light house is a great spot for some vacation pictures. Not much else to see at the park but there is a walking path with some benches.

This is an easily accessible lighthouse right on the shore of Portland. It is easy to drive to and has a nice parking area. Great spot if you or your kids like liigthouses.

Worth a stop if you are checking out the lighthouses in the Portland area. Can't go inside but you can get up close to it.

The lighthouse is well preserved. The park it sits in has great views of the bay. You are going to get some great photos to share on FACEBOOK so go take a real camera with you when you visit.

The Portland Breakwater (a/k/a "Bug") is not a major light, but for those in the Portland area to see the Portland Head, it is worth a quick stop to see along with the Spring Point Ledge Light nearby. It's an adorable little light which is...More

Had a great walk on the quay to/ from the lighthouse. The lighthouse is in good repair, and makes an excellent subject for pictures. There are great views of harbor, from this location. Visit in the morning or late afternoon, as there is no shade...More

Good place to take a breather and view a truly beautiful and unique lighthouse. The park is also nice with a good liberty boat memorial. Kinda hidden but worth the drive.

No and yes. You can get close but the way the breakwater stones are set up you can not get to the actual lighthouse. Fort Williams Park on Shore Rd has the Portland Head lighthouse and there is a paved walkway that circles... More
