Don't miss a visit to this performing arts and community gathering center in charming Stonington, ME. Summertime offers professional quality theatrical productions, a jazz festival, family-friendly entertainment and first-release movies. To experience the full glory of Opera House Arts, stop by the glass-walled lobby before a show for drinks, snacks and flat-bread pizza.

I was on vacation in Stonington this fall and enjoyed a movie at the Opera House Arts complex. It was a ton of fun to experience the small town movie experience with family and friends in a historic theater. There were great snacks and adult beverages available and super friendly staff that enhanced the experience. In the past we attended a rock concert here where the band was a led by a lobsterman and his Ex which was quite interesting. Recommend the Opera House Arts for an enjoyable and interesting local experience.

It is hard to miss the Opera House that sits on a hill overlooking Stonington harbor. There was nothing offered during our midweek visit during the off season, but I am looking forward to our next visit that I will schedule for the weekend. In any case, the exterior of the building is impressive.

Relaxing in quiet Stonington for a week, having this gem of a theater to go to was such a pleasure! Old school seats, but our old bodies found them very comfortable... since they're not tiered, it might make sense to ask tall people to make their way to the back or side seats, especially if subtitled films are shown. Hope it continues to thrive!

We went to the movies at the Opera House twice while recently visiting Stonington. Reminds me of the movie houses of my youth - very quaint. Love the atmosphere before the movie with people enjoying a bite to eat and a drink while looking out on the beautiful scenery. I love that the locals are maintaining their heritage in keeping this lovely building thriving.
