We were there before this date

We have been there twice to see Mary Chapin Carpenter. Absolutely love this place. Great experience. Every seat is amazing. The staff is every bit as good as Vegas, I know, we have been there too.

Excellent venue
Oct. 2019
We had a little trouble finding the venue as did my navigator, so let me start by saying it’s directly above the Waterville City Hall. The kind people walking about were happy to help us find our way.

Every staff member we dealt with was upbeat, personable and helpful. This is one of the few venues I’m aware of that sells wine and allows you to bring it into the theater with you. The only caveat is that you have to buy an adult version of a sippy cup to keep your wine from spilling. It’s a nice, branded cup that I’ve used repeatedly since.

The seats are comfortable, the acoustics are excellent and bathrooms are plentiful and clean. After having seen this spot mentioned for years, I’m glad I finally ventured in and plan to come back as often as I can!

Cultural Center in a Smaller City
Aug. 2019
Maine's cities and towns, which tend to be relatively small, frequently feature a classic "Opera House" that occupy prominent locations in the middle of the community. The most successful have evolved into community cultural centers that offer a variety of cultural events, including touring companies and wide-screen broadcasts of opera, ballet and theatre from New York and London. The Waterville Opera House is a great example of just such a contemporary cultural center in an historic building. It's easy to sense the important role it plays in fostering the Waterville community. Bravo Maine!

Culture in the Country
Oct. 2018
A nostalgic olde world performing arts theater complete with the classic decor and a modern revamped stage facility. Managed by young vibrant staff booking a myiad of traditional and unique entertainment for the Central Maine region. Always something for every taste in the Performing Arts. A wonderful compliment to to the Colby Bixler Art Museum offering a mix and a touch of the metropolitan. Truly an extravaganza of local and Off Broadway entertainment!.
