Considered to be the "most photographed" lighthouse, this 41-foot conical tower sits on the summit of Cape Neddick Bubble, a small offshore rocky islet, looking proudly over the Atlantic.

We arrived "just in time" to pull into one of the last parking spots available. While the free parking is busy, there were enough people leaving and arriving that it wouldn't have taken too long to get a spot. I imagine in the summer it...More

The Lighthouse is a nightmare to get parking at. It was jammed with people and all to see it, not visit it. The Lighthouse itself is on an island which is inaccessible to the public so you can just get a nice photo and leave....More

Nubble Lighthouse is located on a little island on the coast of Southern Maine. There is a free parking lot, very close to the light house, from which you can get great views of this majestic site as well as the beautiful surrounding area. There...More

Although the fog was rolling in when we visited this is the typical New England image of a lighthouse. A private parking lot makes it easy and there is a gift shop for the tourists

Loved the area that this lighthouse is located. The shore is rocky with the waves crashing in but the lighthouse is beautiful! You can see the homes long the shore. The beach is very pretty. We were there in early October, so the tourist crowds...More

My husband and I explored the coast of Maine earlier this month, and this is the first lighthouse at which we stopped. I am obsessed with them, being from the Arizona desert, and it did not disappoint. There are nice, distant views of it from...More

Good stop for relaxing and taking in the fresh air and beauty. Doubt we will ever visit a lighthouse with such a silly name again. ;)

The beautiful Nubble Lighthouse in Cape Neddick is well worth a trip. Visitors are not allowed in or near the lighthouse. Water separates the lighthouse from the viewing area. Visitors can drive right up to the viewing area (you don't need to get out of...More

Few things along the Maine coast are as beautiful as the light houses and Nubble is one of the best.

I looked around a bit and couldn't find an exact answer to that question. I would think they would come when the sun is down? Just a guess.

Don't think so. Again, you can't actually tour the lighthouse, but the grounds around it are cool too. It's probably a dusk to dawn type hours.

Theres not really a path. There are some benches scattered around, with a dirt/grass area to get to them. There are rocks as well that people sit on. I think a stroller should be fine to get to one of the benches.
