Beautiful to swim in, relax on, laze upon, and be in/at, my family and I love Short Sands Beach! Quite comfortable with a nice, newly renovated, spacious bathrooms facility right there as well as delicious and convenient hot food dining right there also.

Although we were there right after hurricane Jose it was still a nice beach to visit. The waves were crashing on the rocks and rolling in like thunder Pretty impressive! Soft sandy beach

First of all, I would give it 5 stars but the fact that the town doesn't have workers to police the beach for garbage is a one star negative. Why lazy beach goers decide that leaving any trash behind is acceptable, escapes me. That being...More

We always enjoy short sands beach. Having that old time NE beach feel with a small arcade, bowling alley, York's Animal Kingdom and candy from Golden Rod right there. Plus there is a playground for kids and a grassy area with bandstand as well. Only...More

small beach good for younger and older children. Right next to arcade and shops, and there is a playground and basketball court. This bath house is bigger than the one on Long Sands. We love visiting both beaches!

Typical maine beach. Go early to find a spot, gets very crowded quickly in the summer. Great beach for families

Short Sands is more like Hampton to me, dirty, overcrowded, people who don't know how to be respectful of nature. I'll take long sands anyday

We love this beach! A few things to keep in mind. It gets busy pretty quickly because it's small so get there early. Also the parking only takes quarters. There's not a coin machine so bring lots of change. There's also a great play ground...More

Bring quarters and shop in all the local shops and go to the arcade. There's lots of cute restaurants and the beach is nice. In august it was too crowded you couldn't see one inch of sand.
