This was a great place to take our mom on Mother's Day. She enjoys touring old homes and (bonus!) the mansion was the summer home of a doctor and founding member of Johns Hopkins Medical College, which my mom (who is a retired RN) found particularly interesting. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgable. After touring the house, we were... More

My son's wedding was here in July and the mansion and grounds were lovely. The grounds are a beautiful woodland setting. In the spring, the azaleas are beautiful. If you have your event in May you will have a blooming canopy of wisteria overhanging the back veranda. There were 60 guests which was the perfect size. Everyone could fit comfortably... More

We stopped in to take a self guided tour of this lovely mansion on a weekend, while we took a break from walking on the nearby trail with our dog. They had an art show set up in the different rooms. I was more into the architecture but the art that was on display we also nice to see. The... More

We went during the day and it wasn't technically open but people were there and took us for a short tour. It's a beautiful place and would make a great place to host a wedding.

I believe this is the best place around Bel Air to host a small to medium sized event. I have had events here and attended a number of shows and functions here and always been quite happy with the location.

A nostalgic visit to a time long past... Could use a bit of artistic input as far as the displays. They seem a bit disheveled and could use some sprucing up.

Been to many events at the Lirio and am always taken by the historic significance of the place and what it's occupants brought with it. It's a great space for a meeting or a party.

I recently attended a lovely morning wedding here, and couldn't have been more impressed with the setting, the staff, or the food. The mansion is actually a bit smaller than I expected, giving it a surprisingly (and welcome) intimate feel. It is beautifully maintained, with lovely woodwork throughout and fireplaces in every room. Two of the original bedrooms are set... More

Our son and daughter-in-law held their wedding reception at this beautiful venue. It was magical! Well kept grounds served for some photos and the inside was roomy enough for an open bar, buffet dinner, seating, and a dance floor. The show rooms and art exhibits on the second floor were also interesting.

The house is in beautiful condition and has many photos and letters, etc. from Dr Kelly, who had the house built for his family and was one of the founding physicians at Johns Hopkins. The house was constructed around 1898. There were two guides there who gave us details on the architecture and the rooms and the family. There was... More
