Perfect place to get away from the world for a few hours. The Park is kept very clean, it's not overly crowded, and a great place to escape the everyday world for a few hours or so.

The Gunpowder Falls State Park is a tradition in our family. The trails are challenging and fun. The park is very well maintained and a joy to experience. We visit in every season and are never disappointed.

We biked about 8 miles of the 17.9 mile rail trail from Parkton to Monkton. It is shaded and a nicely kept trail.

I'd hiked around Gunpowder Falls before, but I'd never tried tubing. I thought it might be nice to try on a hot day, so we went on 15 July, from around 1-3 PM. We don't own tubes, so we rented them at MonktonBike for $30...More
