This is a very dangerous water park that had to eventually hire lifeguards to keep the kids safe. The lake is very deep. There have been numerous accidents and even deaths at this water park. This park is ureasonably expensive. Swim at your own risk.

Went on a Sunday and you could barely move...it felt like the titantoc and everyone was fighting for a spot on the floating docks and rocks. Felt dirty and did not feel safe leaving my stuff alone. Would probably be more fun if it weren't so crowded.

A few friends and I went out to beaver dam not knowing what to expect and it turned out awesome! It wasn't crowded because it had rained just before we got there but we had a great time. I wouldn't recommend going if you're not a strong swimmer because it is VERY deep and a very big place but if... More

Hadn't been here for about 20 years since I was a child. I took my own children and the place has changed drastically. The quarry is roped off onto such a small section that it's pointless to keep it open. I do still see the pull with the quarry though. If there was no quarry, people certainly wouldn't visit for... I took my family here for a trip. There were some very shady people that were there. Loud music and lots of cursing that the life guards did not bother to tell them to stop cursing. The icing on the cake was all three of my children have various cuts and bumps because the beach area nothing but wet concrete... More

Think this is a great place for anyone that can swim. I would definitely look elsewhere if you have very little ones or weak swimmers. With the crowds, and the fact that the deep parts are not actually shut off, I imagine a little one could wander pretty easily. The water is generally very deep in the actual quarry and... More

Went for the first time in 20 years. They let way too many people in on Saturdays. You have to get in line outside the gates an hour before opening to get a spot on the sand. So crowded...to the point of being dangerous. Every few years they have another drowning in the quarry there. Food is overpriced and mediocre... More

Beaver Dam is one of the treasures of Baltimore County. It's best visited on a weekday when the crowds aren't too heavy, but really it is large enough to accommodate a lot people. Parents of young children will want to wait til the kids are proficient swimmers. There are pools, but the quarry is not to be missed. The daring... More

This swim club was once a very proximate quarry, producing the marble the was used to build some of most historic structures and monuments in DC. There are 2 swimming pools and a baby pool, not to mention the rope swing that hurdles guests in to the waters of Beaver Damm. It's a little pricey and avoid the crowded weekends
