Interesting!!

Small but I learned a few facts I never knew about the Wright brothers and the first helicopter. It was very close to the hotel and I did not even mind paying to go there!!

Neat connection with the Wright Brothers and if you are a Wright Brothers fan, definitely worth the visit. I found the exhibits to be a bit worn, though, and the kids interactive area kinda messy. There is a robotron Wright brother as you enter. Fairly nicely done but the plastic lines around its mouth are cracked and all I could... More

Kiddo loved this place. The static exhibits are ok, but the interactive stuff was a huge hit. We'll be back!

I wish more people knew about this place. A nice museum about the little known history of aviation in the College Park area. Kids would really love it here and I think adults would definitely find it interesting.

This museum is pretty small. You will probably get through in about 30-45 minutes. Though some of the narrative is interesting, it is a small museum at a small active airport.

We live in DC and have been to the big Air and Space Smithsonian museums, which are great. However they are crowded and take a long time to visit. This little museum is a great find, and our 2 & 4 year old children had a great time. There is an area to play outside, and even a small runway... More

I was looking for a fun place for a toddler on a rainy day and this fit the bill. One of the best things about it is that it is not overly crowded--you don't have to spend lots of time waiting to see the exhibits or use the many "hands on" options. The layout has almost everything in one very... More

What I like most about this museum is that it allows children to have their photo taken inside the plane which is great for feeding the dream that one day your child can fly. Even small adults can fit into the cockpit thereby feeling younger just by visiting. This is well worth the $5. If resources were infinite or there... More

We took my three grand nephews to the College Park Aviation Museum this morning and were completely impressed by it. The youngest two, 2 and 4 years old, really loved it. There is an interactive playroom with opportunities for kids to take off and land airplanes using a joystick on a video screen. Very fun! There were opportunities to build... More
