What a disappointment! Run down houses, neglected lawns and stagnant standing pools of water everywhere. Nothing interesting to see or do. Bayside Restaurant served crab balls that were mostly filling and clam cakes that tasted like shoe leather. There are no bars or liquor stores...More

We rented a house in the Rhodes Point section of Smith Island. The house was modern and full of amenities. We took a ferry that dropped us off at a dock near the house. We stayed 6 nights and had to pack everything we needed....More

You need to take the ferry which is a scenic trip in itself. Good restaurants, good place for walking and a laid back afternoon. Slower pace of life, lots of watermen! Great art festival over Memorial Day!!

My mother (70), son (11) and I (44) took an hour cruise yesterday from Crisfield, MD to Smith Island using SmithIsland Cruises. The cruise was uneventful (which is a good thing!) and the Captain delivered us to our destination of Smith Island. We had a...More

We visited Smith Island (Ewell) on Saturday, left at 12:30 pm and returned at 4:00 pm. The boat ride was nice to and from, and the weather was great for a boat ride. I agree with other reviewers that the Captain, albeit nice, didn't go...More

Loved seeing osprey along the way. Smooth ride over to island. Loved the restaurant with delicious food. Boats has indoors and outdoors for viewing.

Where do I start, difficult to find. Not much communication, if you go you'll have to ask questions. No greeting on the boat, not very friendly, no announcements until you are moving. Almost like they don't want you there.

We stayed in Tylerton for three days. There is not much in the way of lodging for tourists, which is a drawback, but we had rented the House of Silent Music, which had a great kitchen and well-appointed rooms. There are no restaurants in Tylerton...More

The office where you book in was well sign posted. The “welcome” was a bit off-hand. Their card reader wasn’t working, so we had to scrabble around for cash to buy the tickets. No apology – it seemed like they thought it was my fault........More

At this time, there is no cruise from Reedsville or Point Lookout due to some narrowing that occurred in the channel to the west of the Island. Guests of the Smith Island Inn need to come via Crisfield. Once you board the... More
