Some reviews talk about "Eagle Day" at the Conowingo Dam. That may be special but we just showed up mid November and did not see a major water release underway yet got to view so many eagles you had to swat them away with your hat :-) Got to talk to a nice guy with a long lens who was... More

We took a trip up to the dam to see the Bald Eagles and we were not disappointed. All type of birds are up there feeding on the fish coming through the dam. People are fishing at the water edge and many photographers taking pictures. A great family outing!

Good place to see eagles, herons, gulls. When you're bored of the water, take a walk along the Greenway, south along the river. What is left of the Susquehanna Tidewater Canal is on the right, the old RR tracks between you and the river.

...to see and photograph eagles. We love visiting here for a couple days in Nov. This year we were there on Saturday for Eagle Day. This brought in lots of people! We arrived before 8 AM & the parking lot was full. We drove down & were lucky enough to spot a fisherman getting ready to leave. So we did... More

Today was Eagle Day at Conowingo Dam and we visited after hiking in Susquehanna State Park. We went at about 1:00 PM and it was packed with people taking pictures of the eagles taking flight, landing, or catching fish. It was AMAZING! We saw so many bald eagles. It was an awesome experience watching these majestic creatures soaring above you... More

If you are into photography and birds, this is a awesome place to photograph eagle. The time is from early October thru December. Get there early. On my first visited to Conowingo Dam I was moved by all of the Eagles there just flying all over the dam. All you had to do was make sure that your camera was... More

I visit this place quite regularly as I don't live too far away however, this is a great place to spend a weekend morning. Whether you want to go and check out the bald eagles, hike on the beautiful trails, mountain bike, or fish, this seems to have something for everyone.

Conowingo Fisherman's Park is adjacent to the Conowingo Dam and runs along the Susquehanna River. You can experience the red lights flashing and sirens sounding when they open the gates to let more water come through the dam. There is fishing, relaxing and eagle watching. Fantastic. There is a tour of the facility in September.

Been there many times, over the years biking, fishing, or just relaxing. Its a neat place and there are some things to do, there are many eagles to watch if you have never seen one. The bike trail is nice and flat easy to ride. The fishing can be good but watch the rocks..lol

Just an amazing site to see the power of water and hydroelectric power .This incredible structure is beyond belief to look at from a lower level. Seeing the control of the water is remarkable
