Martinak is a small park off of the main route between Baltimore/D.C. and the Atlantic beaches. There is no admission fee. It's a small park (about 500 acres) but it has several playgrounds, a nature trail, a fitness trail, campgrounds, mini cabins and a full-service...More

I brought my grandkids, we played in the playground areas, they had a blast! Then we took a little walk along the water, down to the rivers edge. It is a beautiful, peaceful place.

Clean picnic areas and playground equipment. No cost. A hidden little gem in Denton, MD. Lots of wildlife.

The best little state park in the area. It's quaint, and quiet. There are sites for camping, but they are rarely crowded. We walk the paved paths in the woods for exercise, take our kayaks out on the river and even bicycle.

So there is a boat ramp (to the Choptank River) and some "camping" sites, but not much if anything else. I live close and love the outdoors but the "park" is very small and really nothing to do.

Love this state park - there are nice playground areas, a one-mile walking path (paved) through the woods, plenty of parking, views of the river, and a boat launch, plus the standard camping areas and even some one-room cabins for rent. It's very quiet in...More

This is a great park for walking and picnics. There are a couple of tot lots for children. It also has camping, which I didn't do, but the sites looked clean, inviting, and close to bath houses. It is not a place for long, rigorous...More

The park is extremely quiet. People fish, crab, boat and use 4-runners. It is a nice place to take a walk, sit in the sun or under a pavilion. If one has children, they have several play grounds. They also offer camping at a reasonable...More

Although no water hookups, is there a place to fill a fresh water holding tank, or do you need to come prepared?

Response from Debbie B |
There are fresh water faucets located around each camping loop so you can fill up on your way to your site.
