What a great respite from the daily hustle and bustle of life. To go and feel the peace of Heaven and once again focus on what matters makes the journey of mortality easier. The Temple is splended in nature and architectural detail. The grounds are landscaped beauitifuly and are family friendly. The Visitor Center can help answer the great questions... More

Enjoy the lights by the warmth of your car or go into the Visitor's Center and also enjoy the many Christmas trees displayed as well as a variety of small Nativities from across the globe. They have special musical programs each night during the holiday season as well, all free of charge. Definitely worth the visit.

My wife and I visited the LDS Temple Visitors Center in Kensington to attend a Christmas Jazz show. As we entered the grounds we were amazed at the lights arrayed around the grounds. They told us there were 650,000 lights! Upon entering the Visitors Center we were greeted by friendly people eager to share something about the Mormon faith. For... More

We made the drive from Columbia and it was a worthwhile experience. I spent two hours in the visitor's center and I could have easily spent another two, but I wanted to walk the grounds of the temple before the sun went down. I especially enjoyed the exhibit where one can learn about different Mormons today. Cool exhibit. We spent... More

The visitor's center is very informative, and even has a model of the LDS Temple to see inside. The grounds are beautiful! The flowers and trees and walkways are worth it even if you don't go inside the visitor's center.

The temple is open to all visitors and the staff are friendly, the decoration of the temple with lights in December of every years worth the efforts of visit. The temple is one of the monuments to visit in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

For years, I had been curious as I headed South about this particular structure and knee it to be related to the Mormons. So, I set out to find it and put my curiosity to rest. I spoke with Elder Burgon who took the time to explain the Temple, it's significance and what is represented throughout with a scale model... More

We visited the Temple Visitor's Center in late December. The Temple Lights were beautiful, worthy of numerous photographs. We were very impressed with the wonderful collection of nativity scenes inside the Visitor's Center. We hope to go back soon to see how it looks in the Summer.
