So much history - so many stories - a required visit in Southern Maryland. Excellent signage and docents available for a personal experience.

Not a bug government run place - but a small town air museum. What! it happens to be the only place in the world that you can see and touch both versions of the JSF competition. its also got plenty of other aircraft and exhibits to see it worth a couple hour drive to see the aircraft

If you are into Naval Aviation, then this is a must see attraction when you visit the Lexington Park / Patuxent River area. They have a large number of historical Naval aircraft on display. When some of these fighters were flying; I was still in grade school. Thankfully this museum is located off base rather than on base unlike China... More

This museum is great for what it is. Without a huge budget it is well done. If in the area it should be visited. We will return.

As a former sailor who was stationed at Patuxent River and lived in the area for 23+ years, our visit to Patuxent River Naval Air Museum was nostalgic in many regards. The museum pays tribute to naval aviation history and is a must see for both locals and visitors to the area. The displays are well done and diverse and... More

This museum has all the great planes and helicopters flown by our wonderful USNavy over the years. It's nice to browse about leisurely and be close to these magnificent machines. There's a wonderful gift shop for moderately priced souvenirs. Don't miss it!

The location was near my hotel, the exhibits were really nice and informative. My son who is a bit too young to appreciate it also had a good time. Overall we had a good time, and if you have some time to kill this is a perfect location to do so.

This museum is very well done with interesting planes and helicopters and points of interest. The various videos are also super interesting. The outside static displays are especially interesting and kids can get up close and see the planes.A bit small but I am sure it will grow with time

This museum is very well populated with interesting planes and helicopters and points of interest. I must say the gift shop is very good and has a lot of items to choose from. The various videos are also super interesting. The outside static displays are especially interesting and kids can get up close and see the planes.
