This hidden beach is very dog friendly, but keep them on the leash. There was plenty of room to set up umbrella, cooler and chairs. It is along the bay and behind you are the cliffs. The walk from the parking lot to the beach...More

1/2 mile down hill hike to the beach so pack light. I carried a cooler and my beach bag and nearly had 3 heart attacks on the way back up (totally worth it though)! The path is easy to follow and there is handicap parking...More

Pros-- the bay at its best! Beach, herons, crabs, and fossils. Cons (but not really :). -- you need to be prepared. Yes. There's a walk to the beach. Maybe a half mile. You need to bring stuff -- water, snacks, sunscreen, source of shade...More

This is a beautiful spot to visit. Fun for the kids to swim and explore. For the adults too. Just be prepared when you get here. There's a mile long hike down a path, then through a marshy area to get to the beach. It's...More

Wide beach, found a couple of tiny sharks teeth. Parking lots were full by noon on a Sunday, lengthy path from parking to beach which was entirely uphill on the way back.

Lovely county park. You park and walk to the beautiful beach. Lots of other trails. Closes early-at 5:30 we were herded off beach by employees. You can see nuclear power plant from beach.

We spent a Saturday afternoon here on a beautiful Spring day-low 70's and sunny weather. The parking lot was full, with only one other spot remaining. There is a 10 minute walk from the parking lot down to the beach area. At that time of...More

Tucked away in Calvert County with cliffs! This seems to be a shark-tooth-hunter paradise as well as other fossils with the beach, the cliffs and the ponds. We've always enjoyed exploring the exposed sandbars at low tide and searching for a few shells (most of...More

The half mile trail to the beach is an easy walk on a gravel road. Restrooms available on the trail. The beach has an abundance of shells washed up from the surf, so not a smooth surface, but it was a nice visit.

I liked this.place. Right on the Bay and the beach is clean. Plenty of room. Bathrooms were filthy. Plenty of small shark teeth if you take the time. Looked like the fiahing was good there too

That doesn't make any sense, I was just there this past Friday and Saturday. Friday it was free to get in Saturday I had to pay $3. The only part that I know it's closed is Breezy Point and that's near Bayfront Park. Hope... More

Yes, it is. When we visited last month, we noted that several couples and families brought their dogs with them.
