A long visit to Deep Creek Lake should always include a visit to the falls. Nice hiking trails, good parking and handicapped friendly too. Nearly all the trails are covered by trees so it can be nice and shady during the hot summer. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing place. We hiked and hiked and then you hear it, the roaring of the falls. Cascading waters invade the rocks below allowing for small rapids to form below. There are areas where steps assist in getting one up the rugged terrain....More

What a beautiful space to walk and enjoy! The trails are well-marked and easy to travel. The grounds are extremely clean and well-maintained. On the hottest of days, it's a cool respite.

If you're looking for a short hike to beautiful waterfalls, this is the place to go. Wear sturdy shoes because you'll be walking on rocks part of the way. Make sure you bring your camera and hiking stick.

Recommend if visiting Deep Creek. It was a nice walk/hike. Bring a camera and the family. If warm bring water shoes.

Beautiful falls, river and scenery. All hiking is pretty easy terrain. There are a total of 4 falls in the park that you can hike to.

Swallow Falls campground is a mixed bag. First, for those who have RVs, hookup sites are few (3) although there are more than that as handicap sites. Regardless, sites are tight and geared for tenters. Rangers tour campground frequently. Bathhouses are immaculate. Like all Maryland...More

A beautiful October day hiking the trails. Easy walking, enjoyed the Falls. Low flow was to be expected due to lack of rain. Image is Muddy Creek Falls in the Park.

I believe with a disabled permit you can drive closer down. however there would still be a short walk. it's not Niagra Falls but is kinda cool to see.
