We stayed in Oxford and wanted to visit St. Michaels for the day. By car it takes about 20 minutes. The ferry though cuts the distance, not so much the time. That's why I consider it a novelty. It's a fun way to cross the...More

If you are visiting St. Michaels, then this is a wonderful way to fit in a visit to the beautiful, but tiny, town of Oxford. Or vice versa. Just a short 10-15 min drive from St Michaels will get you to the ferry dock, where...More

We were the second car on the ferry, so we had a front row seat across the water. Got out of the car and enjoyed the view, a short 15 mins or so. Would have preferred that they chock iurceheels, but I guess they know...More

The Bellvue side is rural and there is no public transit to St Michaels. I don't know if there is any St. Michael's-based taxi service, but if there is, I would expect that they would be willing to meet you at the ferry... More
