If you are looking for a place to fish or go out on a lil' boat run from then look no further. Tilghman is an old Eastern shore town with much of nothing going if. If you like that sort of thing it's great.

Tilghman Island is a long, flat island with some good restaurants (Characters, Two If By Sea, and Marker Five just across the bridge among others). It is a very quiet and calm place. A fantastic nautical bookstore is open on the weekends, and there is a small fishermen's museum as well. A number of boat excursions are available on island... More

The draw bridge to the island open more than any other draw bridge in the United States. There are several restaurants on the island. They are of average quality. There is a placeat the tip of the island where one can fish.

What a disappointment ! It is a long drive with no Bay views of any kind until the end. You drive by corn fields, reeds, scub, pine trees. Very monotonous. And the end is worse except for the Inn which seems tp have a lovely view of the Bay but is off limits. There is a communication center and an ugly... More

The Bridge Restaurant is a very simple place on the water, where you can watch the drawbridge go up and down as working boats go by. It is pure, simple, Eastern Shore. They serve a fine crab cake sandwich and cream of crab soup (that's crab with cream). We had good, friendly service. You can eat inside or on the... More

My wife and I spent two nights in Tilgham and really enjoyed it. We are not boaters or fishers, so, as has been stated, there was not much to do. We were looking for a beautiful setting to get away for a bit, have a few drinks on the water, eat some good local seafood, and relax - and we... More

It's a nice ride from St Michaels to the island, but not much to see or do there other than a few eateries. Nice view of Chesapeake Bay at the lower end of the island.

The greatest place for a trip back in time. No traffic, friendly people, great views and wonderful oysters, crabs and seafood.

We followed Talbot County's bike trail map and were very disappointed. That is fall advertising! First of all, there are no trails! It is mostly riding on busy highways and there are no bike lanes, just the shoulder that disappears in some areas. Only St. Michael and Oxford are worth visiting but don't waste your time riding your bike around,... More

If you are in St. Michael's, take the time to drive to Tilghman Island. A lovely drive through a quiet, scenic community. We were there on a weekday summer morning, so very quiet.
