You can hike, run, bike or walk. There's a beach, a duck blind (used to be two but one burned), a boardwalk to bird watch or deer watch. There's a small area to swim or fish the bay. Two huge ponds. Huge views of the...More

Tucked away on Kent Island, this park is opposite Sandy Point State Park. The only drawback is the parking within the park is limited, but not to worry there is plenty of parking on the approaching streets. This park has pretty much everything. There is...More

Nature walk with some educational signs. Tidal Marsh, Beach, Meadow, nice mix. Signs highlighting relationship between man and bay. I would worry about bugs during the warmer weather though.

Beautiful place for a stroll along the Chesapeake Bay. Good bird and critter watching. Also used by a lot of folks for fishing from the beach.

This is not a big place, but it is lovely for a stroll down to the calm small beach and back. There is also a Cross Island trail that had a lot of runners and bikers on it which looked like fun. We'll visit again....More

Terrapin is a great natural area, you will have to walk about a half mile to get to the beach. You may also want to check out Mattapeake beach on route 8 south of route 50. Both will offer great backdrops for family pics. If... More

I think technically it's an on-leash beach but it's pretty quiet during the weekdays. If you google Queen Anne Dog Beach you'll find information on Matapeake. Matapeake is certainly an off-leash dog beach. Good luck!
