If your looking for a fantastic outing for young and old go to Brookside Gardens Wings of Fancy. This butterfly exhibit is educational and my granddaughters loved it.

Walking around the grounds in a quiet and beautiful compound. Nice pathways and plenty of parking. (Restrooms too.) I lived in the area 40 years and never visited until a week ago. Now one of my favorite spots in the Rockville area,

There is a 1 mile paved path around Brookside Gardens in the Wheaton Regional Park. Therefore, it is imminently walkable. There are lakes, rose gardens, other flower gardens, an indoor botanical garden, and a butterfly house.

Butterflies are enclosed in a greenhouse so there are hundreds. There are also butterflies in the gardens but not so many.
