My friend and I rode the C&O Canal Trail from Cumberland, MD to Washington, D.C. over 3 days. Williamsport was our first stop after 85 miles. It was a great adventure. The trail is beautiful and easy to ride.

The volunteer on site on April 22 made this site even more meaningful. Nice small store and warehouse by great canal outdoor sites. Worth the stop. This is an NPS passport site.

Walk, run, bike, enjoy! Beautiful, serene location to relax or exercise. And, then eat at Desert Rose just up the street to make it a wonderful day.

Want to escape the daily grind? Time to get back to nature? Then it is now that you should get away to the banks of the C&O Canal. Walk the towpath where once trod the caravans of mules as they pulled their barges of trade...More
