Beautiful harbour views

This is a lovely place to hike or just stroll along the short path from the visitor centre to the harbour view, which is stunning. Very nice, helpful lady in the visitor centre... read more

I guess I was expecting a bit more. We went on the Marsh Boardwalk (very short), Harbor Overlook, and Bone Hill Trails. Most of these were in fairly thick forest areas and signage wasn't always that helpful. While there was always a sign telling you where you were in location to the Visitor Center, there were many other path crossings... More

This is a lovely place to hike or just stroll along the short path from the visitor centre to the harbour view, which is stunning. Very nice, helpful lady in the visitor centre. After the harbour view we took a few of the trails through woods and meadows. Not much to see this time of year but it was pleasant... More

Our family of three just joined the kayak paddle to sandy neck Lighthouse. It was a unique opportunity bc it is privately owned and a special place. The leaders were well organized and informed us of lots of naturalist tidbits we will remember.

We pitstopped here on the way up to Truro. It was a nice area to walk for a bit and watch the wildlife. I especially liked the butterly garden area.

Was a bit blustery today, but we had a chance to explore trails and features. Look forward to returning on a sunny, less windy day

We went on a Monday and the visitors center was closed, but we were still able to access the hiking trails and park for free. Beautiful area, short hikes if needed, fresh sweet air, lovely coastal views were all found at this sanctuary.

I had a really nice experience at the Audubon Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday. I took a 2 & ½ hour Barnstable Harbor Kayak tour that included climbing the Sandy Neck Lighthouse. I was part of a group of 13 that signed up for the tour. We were given life preservers, paddles and detailed instructions on the best way... More

Mass Audubon always impresses me and Long Pasture is no exception. Excellent birding due to varied habitat. The director took time out of his morning to welcome me and direct me to other excellent wildlife sanctuaries in the area. Can't wait to return!

Not one of the most scenic Audobon sites we've been too, but it's ok for a short walk, especially with children. The trails are well marked and well maintained. The visitors center is ok, and it's very quiet and peaceful. A few good photo ops for camera buffs.

Lots of trails, and most are fairly well maintained. There are a couple of scenic spots, there's a small pond, and a beach with a good view of the water with a lighthouse, but really its mostly fields overgrown with bushes, and milk weed, or golden rod. I was much more impressed with the National Seashore trails.
