The natural beauty of Cape Cod can be found with a visit to Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary. If a 2.5 mile walk is not of interest, you can still visit here and enjoy a short walk that takes you past a pond, leads you to great views of Sandy Neck Barrier Beach and allows you to wander along pathways surrounded... Come here for a quiet getaway from the busyness of a tourist area. This refuge is a short drive off Rte 6A, and a short walk to the bay. A small but interesting visitor's center provides maps of the trails and information on animal life of the area. The trails go beside a small pond, through woods, and out to... More

The Wildlife Sanctuary was a nice place to photograph. There were many more birds than other animals to see.

Beautiful area and just as described by previous reviewers. Love that it is still untouched by development. Allow about an hour to see it all. The beach/marsh is especially worth the drive.

Drive down to visit this sanctuary ~ it's still wild and untouched, bring a beach chair and enjoy the view and quiet. There is a lovely lighthouse across the way and enjoy the untouched beauty of this place. Almost didn't want to write a review, keep it quiet and to myself :).

Wanna get away from the hustle and bustle of Hyannis and Route 28? Go to Long Pasture. We were the only ones there, aside from a couple very friendly workers. Wow. It was so quiet and serene and tranquil and lovely. There are paths through the woods (wear bug spray) and past the pond, buy you MUST take the path... More

I drove by Long Pasture last September & finally went last weekend. I knew it was going to be nice because the ocean was just on the other side. It was much nicer than I imagined. When we pulled in, we saw 2 goats, so cute! It's part of Mass Audubon Society, and they have a Visitor's Center with many... More

In all seasons, the marshes are beautiful and filled with wildlife. As an artist there is always something there for me to paint. As a nature lover, there is always something new to see.

Excellent place for a walk. Views of meadows, woods and over Barnstable harbour to Sandy Neck. Mostly flat and pushchair friendly. I'd say limited access for wheelchairs. Many different types of trees that are all clearly labelled. Pens with goats in. Free for Mass Audobon members, otherwise $4. Gift shop and restrooms. Interpretative bee exhibit. Access to beach for walk... More

A beautiful location with trails, meadows, and water front property. Unfortunately, it was raining and we are looking forward to returning in better weather. The people in the visitor center were friendly and informative, we highly recommend a visit.
