Convenient bike hire for the Rail Trail

Booking out bikes for the family was fairly quick and members of staff were friendly and efficient. Nice selection of bikes, in great condition including tandems.

seems to be run by a family. The gentlemen was absolutely helpful in tweaking our new bikes (bought off Cape) and getting us back on our ride. Showed us how to properly adjust our seats and lent my husband tools so he could do on his own today but learn for the future. Saw lots of rentals go out -... More

The attendant at the bike shop was very helpful, showing places to see and where to go. The hire rates were good, we chose the full day. 3 hours would not do justice to your bike ride. Where we rode it was all pavement and fairly flat. A very good ride.

Encouraging when I was a bit worried that I'd be fine the guy we dealt with was lovely. He'd gone when we returned but had given us a bike lock which we used and left them for him.

There is only one brand of bicycle available here: Marin. I have ridden MANY bikes, but I have never had so much trouble with a bike as I have with this brand. When I told the owner my experience, he didn't really want to hear it, didn't apologize for the bad experience, and didn't offer to accommodate a solution. I... More

Was trying to find Brewsters Bikes but the GPS brought us here. Brewsters we found out later was 1/2 mile down the road. None-the-less, the bikes were great and staff friendly so I had no problems. We kind of wish they were a little more helpful at the beginning telling us what there is to do each direction on the... More

This is where you want to go to rent bikes in Brewster. Its on the rail trail (directly) so its a prime location. Their rates for tune ups and rentals are reasonable given the locations/season. Staff is super helpful and will fill up your tires too. There is a bakery about to open in the fall ('15) next door for... More

First we followed the recommendation of our Lonely Planet to another bike shop at the Rail Trail in Brewster but were not satisfied with the selection of bikes. "Rail Trail Bike Shop" was mentioned by our hosts also - and this was the better choice: Good bikes, a fair price and a very kind service. Directly at the Rail Trail... More

We got lost and got to the shop a little past closing time, but the staff was very forgiving and friendly about it. Our ride was beautiful and the bike path is well maintained.

We went biking with the kids and rented the bikes from the rail trail bike and kayak shop. It was a very nice experience. No waiting times, very friendly staff, very good bikes. The shop is nicely located at the rail trail - a few miles away from the Nickerson state park where we went for a swim. The trail... More
