Our family come here for biking every summer. The paths are very well maintained. The canal is very clean. It's a great place to bike, walk, run, or roller skate, especially with kids since there is no cars at all. The Seafood Shack across from the canal is a must.

As a resident of Sandwich, I used to take the children here for bike rides, but never really enjoyed the scenery-and as soon as the kids could pedal on their own, we ventured on the better bike paths on Cape. A lot of people love the canal, and I for one, can't figure that out. It's not particularly pretty-the power... More

This is a bike path along the Cape Cod Canal. It's a great place to bike, walk, skate or pull over the side of the road and watch the boats and birds.

If you like bicycling or walking along the shore, this is a not to be missed destination. The Canal Service Road on the west bank is very popular for walking, jogging, roller blading, fishing or just sitting and watching the boats float by. No motorized vehicles allowed, except the occasional official trucks. There is another paved trail on the East... More

There a a nice bike path around the canal, it is mostly flat and all paved. I believe it is 14 miles from end to end but I think you have to back track as the end of the "loop" is on the other side of the canal. The path goes under the Bourne and Sagamore bridges

In the hundred years that I have been going to the Cape, I have never stopped at this location, and it was worth the effort. My grandsons loved climbing around on the USCG boat and the youngest, age 6, loved "fishing" in the magnetized surf.

The Cape Cod Canal offers a lovely bike ride. It's only about 20km, return on each side and it's very flat. The biggest challenge is the wind. The trail offers a beautiful view of the canal. This trail is ideal for anyone who enjoys biking.

There are many hiking trails along and down the steep banks of the canal. Just remember not to do more down than you want to do up. The trails are beautiful and have a view of the canal most of the way. The canal is beautiful. The area is touristy but quaint. Some of the old timers have a local... More
