The Wing Fort House, which was built in 1641, is recognized as the oldest home in New England continuously owned by the same family. Stephen Wing either purchased the homestead from the town of Sandwich or the town granted him the property around the time...More

The docent gave me a very thorough one on one tour. While he didn't swear that there is or are spirit(s) there, we had an interesting discussion of the possibility that there is one lurking about. Second only to the nearby Hoxie house, as far...More

A special treat to have a tour guide that is not only an archeologist, but also a history buff. Allow enough time to not only to enjoy the tour of the house , but also to allow time to learn about the family and life...More

I am a Wing descendant, thus thrilled to finally get inside this interesting historic home of my earliest Wing ancestor in New England. Even though the earliest habitation here dated from 1641 and was basically earthworks, a small house was erected, then redesigned and actually...More

It was fascinating to see our ancestors' home. We appreciated David, caretaker and archaeologist, and his knowledge as tour guide. He said it was estimated with 12 generations of Wing's that we number over 60,000 of us now! Though I married into the family, my...More

One word - Incredible. This home has been owned by the same family for over 300 years. It's amazing that a house like this still exists. Loved the tour and the stories.

I enjoy visiting this house on my trips to Cape Cod. The caretaker is excellent. His knowledge of the property and colonial history/beliefs really brings it to life. Lots of interesting things to see in the house. Worth a visit!
