You see a functioning lighthouse (mic drop)- do you really need more reason to go? If so, the story of how they moved this building back off the cliffs is told, ad nauseum, and the natural beauty of the area is pretty nice as well.

Our tour bus visited this Light house and was pleasantly surprised when told this is the picture on the Cape Cod Chips bags! We did not tour inside, however grounds and area were well maintained. Nice piece of history.

Surprisingly, this lighthouse is not really close to the water but that's fine because it is beautiful anyway, with two additional buildings. One Sept. 9, it was perfect for photography at 8:30 am; the light was from the right direction (and luckily, the sky was blue). It was not open so we did not find out anything about it, but... More

Beautiful lighthouse with an interesting past. It's was moved from Chatham Lighthouse in 1923 and then in the recent past moved 300+ feet back from the end of the ocean.

In my opinion, it is best to go later on in the day (like between 4 and 5). Main reason because you avoid having to pay $20 for the beach and it is far less crowded. Otherwise it is a beautiful beach and the lighthouse is still functioning!

We're glad you enjoyed your visit to Nauset Light. You made a good decision to come later in the day as the beach is very popular. The Sunday tours of the light will continue to be from 4:30 to 7:30 pm until September 13 because of the crowds at the parking lot. We will open the light earlier on Sundays,... More

Cute little lighthouse. This is the one that's on the Cape Cod potato chips bags, and it's right by the beach. It's open for tours in the evenings, and if you tell the Nauset Light Beach parking attendant that you're visiting the lighthouse tour, you can park for free. The tour lets you go up in the lighthouse, but not... More

Free tours are offered (donations welcomed) from 4:30 - 7:30 pm on Sundays so we dropped by at around 5:30 pm and parked for free in the Nauset Light Beach parking lot. There is no other parking. A volunteer provided some history about Nauset Light (on the potato chip bag) and we climbed a spiral staircase to get to the... More

After vising the Cape Cod Chip Factory, we decided to visit this lighthouse. It was fairly easy to find but there was NO parking. We ended up pulling on the side of the road to take a picture and left.
