Could only see the outside and looks like it is being renovated. But some good walks nearby which give good views of the marsh

Wonderful old whaling captains house with many original features. Soapstone sink and original piping system. Very cool photos of the captain and his daring wife. Apparently she was very handy and built her own boat! It's hit or miss with the guided tour. View from...More

This is a cute and unusual looking house, set off the main road but still easy to get to, and there's a parking lot just up the street. The house was closed while we were there, so we only got to see the outside. The...More

We took the guided tour of this house. The architecture is very interesting. This may have been the first house on Cape Cod to feature hot and cold running water and inside toilets. There is a nice knoll nearby with great views of the ocean....More

This was a nice morning adventure for our family. We enjoyed the walk and the views. The sharpening stone used by native Indians was interesting.

We took a walk around the Penniman House due to it being under restoration. Nice architecture and there's two (maybe three) signs describing Captain Penniman and his home. It was interesting. I found the whale entrance quite awesome. Combine this with a walk around Fort...More

Although the Captain Penniman house was not open to the public on the day we visited, it was still very interesting to walk around the outside of this beautiful, old building. The attention to detail in its construction is amazing. Walk down the hill to...More
