Worth the ferry ride to Chappaquiddick

This is a must-see on Chappaquiddick. Many thanks to the Edgartown North Water Street Art Gallery owner for telling us about this place.

As you head out from the On-Time Ferry along the main road that goes to the other end of this small island that is just a three-minute ferry ride from Edgartown, the road curves to the right but you see a dirt road in front of you. You decide to take the dirt road because you've heard it leads to... More

We went in April and there was only the color of daffodils and hyacinths. The garden is large and multilevel. I can't wait to go back and see it in the summer or fall.

Worth a visit if you are visiting this part of M.V, and/or if you love nature walks. Other than that, I would stick closer to Edgartown.

A small Japanese garden with lots of tropical trees. So the garden is never barren in a year. Even during winter days, the garden is full of green leaves which is pretty rare in new England area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Mytoi, glad I checked here for things to do because the kiddos were getting restless for activity. Here pre-season so only two other families were there the same time we were. Felt, at times, like we had the place to ourselves. Beautifully manicured and tended for Japanese garden. So unexpected yet a must-see when... More

One of our small outings out of Edgartown included a visit to this lovely garden. Crossing from Martha's vineyard is by the $ 12 round trip(car and passengers) "Chappy" ferry only and a 10 minute drive will get you to this small garden paradise. It's an easy walk through this well maintained free attraction (tips suggested) and a great way... More

Mytoi, a labor of love by many volunteers, keeps getting better. For visitors from out of town as well as locals, it's always a nice visit.

Great with kids or just or the avid gardener. Bridge over the pond, rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, paths to explore, lots to look at here. Not many cultivated gardens, other than yards, in these parts. Interesting destination for the bike ride after the ferry ride to Chappy. Watch the hours, it is closed often when I drive by.
