This ever-changing environment still provides an important habitat for nesting shorebirds, and a sporting challenge for the fishermen who surfcast from this popular site.

The title says it all. Beautiful beach, seals, fishing, driftwood, swimming in the ocean and in the lagoon side, clamming, much less crowded than adjoining South Beach, all within walking distance of the South Beach parking areas. The only caveat is that if you want to take full advantage of this gem, you need to purchase and OVER SAND permit... More

We came here with friends so we got there by car where you have to deflate the tires a little bit and drive through the dunes, a very fun experience. You go towards the end and there is a whole area where there is water on both sides so it is a very special scenery. It must be wonderful in... More

We had a great family vacation added by the fun of Norton Point Beach. Each day the truck was packed with coolers, tents, food, grill etc for our day on the beach. The water was warm, the weather was gorgeous and we could not have asked for a better week. Only downside, the beach could use a few more air... More

We've been coming to Norton Point for 20+ years. It's the best way to beach with kids and dogs. From breakfast on the beach to sunset dinners, it's a slice of heaven.

We've been going to Norton Point Beach since 1988 and will continue to do so until we can't drive anymore! No need to carry anything onto the beach-its all in your car. Just find a place to park and pop open your trunk. One tip...way too crowded on holidays such as the 4th of July.

Don't think it's fair to state that a car can be driven on the beach............this is not Daytona; it's a beautiful dune and deep white sand beach that permits over sand passage within regulated areas. The passes are for vehicles that can have their tires deflated to appx. 15ps, 4WD and have adequate clearance. The passes are purchased at the... More

If you want to escape the crowds the effort to get here is rewarding beyond expectations. The trip is fun in itself and SPACE on arrival before going back to town and sampling some fine seafood. Sailing around the Islands is a good and inexpensive way to accommodate a family so consider chartering a skipper and mid size yacht. Even... More

A really wonderful vineyard experience is taking your car over the sand and having a beautiful day at the beach .Unfortunatly everyone else is also doing it along with you,,,, If you don't mind crowds it's really a fun day.Go early to beat the crowd.

wrote about it already with katamana beach review. awesome. Can drive on beach. Set my 87 year old dad up in a chair 20 feet from beach. less crowded than south beach but there was the element of cars on the beach (wife not a fan). WARNING 60$ for day pass to drive on beach.
