Beautiful beach

Beautiful beach that is across the entire southern side of the island. Ocean waves and pretty sunsets. It can be dangerous with an undertow.

Gorgeous beach facing the ocean. Probably gets quite crowded in-season, but it was empty and inspiring in September. Miles of blue.

South Beach is a great beach. It is one of the places we are sure go to when we are on the Vineyard. We always recommend South Beach as one of the must visit beaches when someone goes to the Vineyard.

Easy ride from Edgartown to this beach. It can be very crowded in the summer but was great during our October visit. There are facilities there which I always appreciate!

This is a great beach, a few miles south of Edgartown. There are changing rooms in 3 locations (less than half a mile apart) but the powers-that-be remove the porta potties after Labor Day. If you've driven down from Edgartown for the day, at one of the nicest times of year on the Vineyard, you've got a problem.

South Beach and Norton Point doesn't get any better! You can spend the day playing in the waves, taking long walks, building sand castles or reading a book! Norton Point you can buy a day or seasonal permit from the Trustee's and drive out on the beach in your 4 wheel vehicle. Dogs on leashes are also welcome on Norton... More

Beautiful beach, mostly clean and pretty quiet. There are bathrooms there and lots of parking. Definitely make a point to check out the sunsets from there.

This is the beach if you want a little peace and quiet. Good for children, our granddaughter enjoyed flying her kite

Great swimming for families. It can get rough though depending on the wind. Still, beautiful sand to go for long walks or lie and get some sun.

I'm a Jersey shore fan so I don't really understand this narrow beach with unbearably cold water, small breakers and no boardwalk. Visually, it is attractive with the windswept dunes. In September when my friends were sun bathing on Jersey beaches, the people here were wrapped in blankets and shivering.
