Since 1971, South Beach has been my favorite beach. There are many child friendly beaches open to the public, but if you like bobbing in gentle surf, to sometimes surf, South Beach is for you. There are life guards and changing rooms, and porta potties...More

The water can be very rough so not so good for children. The pool may be a good option with the waves are to big. It is still wonderful to soak up the sun and listen to the waves.

Clean beach with toilet facilities and ample parking. Family oriented with good space to avoid being crammed. Love the surf and he fact that there are lifeguards on duty. No rocks to deal with and little seaweed to walk. Short drive from downtown. No booze!...More

Great beach for watching the waves and listening to the roar of the ocean. We went for a beach walk on a cloudy day recently and loved watching the giant waves crash on the shore. This isn't a good beach for little kids to frolic...More

The beach was serene, uncrowded and very easy to park free along the road or parking lot. We saw large rolling waves and beautiful shore birds . No lifeguards until summer season . Perfect beach with large waves.

Can't believe there are no bathrooms or portapottys anywhere near here. Very boring beach area as there is Nothing near you for miles!
