Such a beautiful bike path. Works well for walkers as well. Lovely views and great way to escape cape traffic between Falmouth center and woods hole.

We unwisely expected to ride the 21.4 mile round trip in just an afternoon. In order to return our bikes before the stop closed at 5 we had very little to to really savor the scenery. We did a quick stop for lunch along the...More

We bike here at least twice a week, weather permitting. Off road is the only safe place to be in a very touristy area, especially in summer. If you do the whole ride from Rte 151 to Woods Hole and back it is about 15...More

We ride north to south first. We start near the intersection of 151 and 28a. Wind is usually from the south. On a good day we make it to woods hole.(11 miles) With the wind at your back, you get an easy return ride. The...More

This is a great path for ped or bike. The scenery includes town and country and ponds and ocean. It was fall and the colors were amazing. Well worth it.

I rode this twice during my stay. Smooth path and easy riding. Not quite as much ocean view as I was expecting but still delightful. I am also amazed at how considerate New England drivers are of pedestrians and bicyclists. I am used to Texans...More

This is a pleasant ride but it is not a workout. It is gentle and almost with out physical effort. The section by the beach is nice but it is a very short ride. The end at Woods Hole is a very long parking lot...More

Coming from upstate NY, I had never seen a cranberry bog. I ran the Zooma Cape Cod 10k and half marathon race on Sept 30th. About half of the race was on the Shining Sea Bikeway. On the bikeway we had plenty of shade, views...More

We biked this trail on a rainy September day. It was scenic and well maintained. It is mostly flat. We found the cranberry bog an interesting sight.

YES! All trail users need to be mindful of others on the trail - runners, walkers, bicyclists etc. It will be a beatiful walk! Bring a picnic/snack and a blanket to enjoy the beach section in Falmouth!

It wide enough to accommodate the traffic you described. There are also benches along the route to take in the scenery.
