the Shining sea bike way is an amazing place to walk or ride. There are all sorts of small paths off the bikeway that will take you on little nature hikes. Plenty of small animal, plant and sea life too see.

This bike path is wonderful, scenic, flat, woodsy as well as passing by the ocean in several places. It is crowded during the summer months - though still not crazy. Off season is is a great place to walk, bike roller blade. It is just...More

I am not in the best of shape but love this bike trail. Not too many hills and great paved access. We have biked this trail 3x, two of those starting in Orleans and one from Dennis. We prefer the portion of the trail from...More

Such a beautiful bike path. Works well for walkers as well. Lovely views and great way to escape cape traffic between Falmouth center and woods hole.

We unwisely expected to ride the 21.4 mile round trip in just an afternoon. In order to return our bikes before the stop closed at 5 we had very little to to really savor the scenery. We did a quick stop for lunch along the...More

We bike here at least twice a week, weather permitting. Off road is the only safe place to be in a very touristy area, especially in summer. If you do the whole ride from Rte 151 to Woods Hole and back it is about 15...More

We ride north to south first. We start near the intersection of 151 and 28a. Wind is usually from the south. On a good day we make it to woods hole.(11 miles) With the wind at your back, you get an easy return ride. The...More

This is a great path for ped or bike. The scenery includes town and country and ponds and ocean. It was fall and the colors were amazing. Well worth it.

I rode this twice during my stay. Smooth path and easy riding. Not quite as much ocean view as I was expecting but still delightful. I am also amazed at how considerate New England drivers are of pedestrians and bicyclists. I am used to Texans...More

YES! All trail users need to be mindful of others on the trail - runners, walkers, bicyclists etc. It will be a beatiful walk! Bring a picnic/snack and a blanket to enjoy the beach section in Falmouth!
