Must see for young and old. Been a destination for generations. My daughter took wedding photos there. My grand children pass the chair on the way to my house and love to see it. It is the spirit of Gardner the Chair City.

Exactly as described. Large chair, pretty old not too exciting but will kill a few minutes if your bored or want photo op.

Always like stopping at the chair with someone that has no clue. If you hype it before you get there the WOW factor is depleted before you arrive.

If you visit Gardner, you must climb up on the enormous chair and take a photo! This is a classic photo for Gardnerites...for graduation, various events or no reason at all!

On the way to Dunn State Park. You can stop for a minute and take a picture for a laugh. Gardiner is a well known town for furniture manufacturing.

This is really just a quick stop to see a big chair as part of the history of the a City of Gardener, known as the chair city.. It lends itself to a photo opportunity.

Major local photo op. The chair is climbable and an adult on the seat can pull up children. Locals, like me who lives in the neighborhood and drives by daily, often stop and offer to take the group/family photo. Large grassy area around the chair...More

I am not sure but the Gardner, MA Chamber of Commerce at one time had shirts, coffee mugs, and miniature chairs for sale.
