Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed whale...

Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed whale sightings for every whale watching tour out to Stellwagen Bank, a national marine preserve about 12 miles off the coast of Gloucester deemed one of the "Top 5 Whale Watching Destinations in the World" by the World Wildlife Fund due to the wide variety of whale species whom migrate to the coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts every year to feed on the abundant natural resources. We provide the best whale watching in New England as it's an awe-inspiring experience which every human being should have the opportunity to appreciate. We make it a very special event.

For over 35 years, Cape Ann Whale Watch has been dazzling whale watching enthusiasts with sightseeing tours aboard the largest, fastest and most elegant whale watching vessel in Massachusetts, north of Boston, Massachusetts aptly named "The Hurricane II" due to its immense size and speed as it descends upon its destination. Cape Ann Whale Watch's patrons have the opportunity to spend a lot more time with the whales than with other whale watching companies in Gloucester MA since "The Hurricane II" gets to the whales' feeding grounds with much more expediency as well as traveling home faster, therefore more time is actually spent observing whales including but not limited to Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Northern Right Whales, Pilot Whales, Northern Right Whales, Sperm Whales, Sei Whales, Blue Whales (The Largest Whales in the Seven Seas yet seldom seen around Gloucester MA), Fin Whales, Atlantic White Sided Dolphins, Harbor Porpoises and whole host of other fascinating marine creatures as we deliver the best whale watching excursion in Massachusetts.

"The Hurricane II" boasts 115 ft length with over 400 ft of whale watching room from the railings of the upper and lower observation decks for optimum whale watching conditions. There is a heated, furnished indoor cabin with a full service galley serving hot meals, snacks and cold beverages as well as a fully stocked bar with local brews, popular beer, wine and mixed drinks. Cape Ann Whale Watch is truly the finest whale watching tour in the Boston MA area offering the highest level of quality, comfort and service at the cheapest, most affordable price suitable for any family entertainment budget whether on vacation or a day trip. We offer AAA discounts on the adult tickets. We also offer reduced rates for seniors, children and military families.

We go where the whales go. Our vessels communicate with each other as to the location of whales so we will go anywhere to see them on the North Shore or South Shore of Massachusetts including off the coast of Boston, Massachusetts: Salem MA, Newburyport, Cape Cod, Hampton NH, Rowley, Rockport MA, Danvers, Peabody, Swampscott, Revere, Winthrop or wherever else the whales may roam.

So many whales

The boat is very nice and they do not over pack it. There are plenty of whale to be seen on a nice sunny day. Would highly recommend if you have small children.

There several companies for whale watch in Boston area. They all go to the same place. But this one is the most nearby. The weather is very important. Try to go on sunny with little cloud day.

I love whales and it's been a lifelong dream to see one in the wild. I was not disappointed! This tour was as close to real-life magic as you can get. My husband and I saw five beautiful humpback whales (one of which was named UFO!) and I couldn't have asked for more. Our tour guide was awesome; he was... More

This exceeded expectations! The crew was fantastic - knowledgeable, upbeat, and kind - and the whales? Extraordinary! I hadn't dreamed we'd see so many, or that they'd come so close! They were feeding right beside the boat, opening their great jaws for us, diving and raising their flukes into the air...I even saw one jumping off in the distance! Twas... More

The sea was a bit choppy but the guides said this was the best tour of the whole summer. We definitely got our money's worth as we saw at least 20 whales. It was a beautiful day and the whole experience was fantastic. Would definitely recommend these guys.

It was our first time to do the whale watching tour and what a great experience it was! we had to go quite far to see them (about 2 hours one way), but the crews were determined to give us a great sighting. their persistence paid off and at one point, we had so many whales doing all kinds of... Went to see the whales on a sunny day in October. We needed more than 1 hr 1/2 to reach the bank where the whales are feeding. The information we received from the crew in the meanwhile was very interesting. Finally we saw 10 humpback whales. On one occasion a group was making bubbleholes to catch their preys which wat... We just came back from our trip today, and it was FANTASTIC!! We saw so many whales and two mom's with their calfs. The crew is so knowledgeable and gives a great talk on the way out. If you are undecided which trip to go on, go on the Cape Ann Whale Watch. You'll be glad you did!!

Fortunate traveler on the Sept. 21st excursion. Saw humpbacks, huge dolphin pod, sea otter, sea turtle, blue shark. The staff were awesome and it was very obvious that they were genuinely excited FOR the tourists and their sightings. I'm glad I researched the different whale watch companies before making my choice, because I can't imagine an overall better experience. THANK... More
