What a wonderful visitor's center! We were just going to stop in and get some brochures and use the restrooms. We ended up staying for a few hours. The location is beautiful. The visitor's center was full of interesting information and tons of brochures. The restrooms located in the back of the building were clean. The staff was so friendly... More

After driving into town and becoming thoroughly confused as to where to catch a cruise, we blundered into Stage Fort Park. The folks at the welcome center were very helpful and enabled us to plan our stay and get to the right places. The park is lovely and has a great elevated view of the harbor. It's just a short... Stage Fort Park is a great place to visit. It has 2 beaches, Cresseys opposite The Cupboard, a place for food and ice cream. Half moon was my favorite beach when my children were young because it was a small beach and it was easier to keep track of my 5 children. The older ones liked to explore the fort... More

We were invited to a picnic at Stage Fort Park and Beach. We were very impressed with this huge park. We had a lovely picnic site with a table surrounded by trees. Our site was located right near the the building with the rest rooms. We were there the same weekend that the park had an enormous fair. There was... More

Stage Fort Park has something for everyone. It is good for children and has a small beach, and lots of grassy area to run and play. It has picnic areas and plenty of rocks and things to see. There are old cannons and historic areas for the adults too. On the other side is a large grassy area to play... More

My son loved the rocks and climbing area! We sat at the beach to have lunch, great food at the snack shop! Very pretty place, sad to see litter on the rocks. Wish people would cleanup after themselves! The restrooms were not clean and rather creepy being under the building.

Lovely small beach in a park with nice walks, great views, a small baseball diamond and a visitor centre with clean attended toilets. If you are a sun lover go there in the morning to get the most of the sun as it is a shaded beach with most of the sun going off the sand by 2/2:30 in August.... More

The Fisherman's Memorial is famous., The harbor and the bridge's periodic opening is kinda cool. A warm summer night, some benches, some dogs, some couples (young and old) some families some fishermen and the Atlantic, A nice passagiatta.
