This beach is a great spot to take young children. The water remains shallow for a good distance off shore and the waves are gentle. Numerous rock outcroppings and tide pools make for great exploring. Parking is limited so plan ahead and arrive early.

Oh, what a magical place! Parking is $25 cash ONLY. The rocks here are spectacular! Beach is very nice, we did not see/use facilities, so I'm not sure how well maintained they are. Greenheads are painfully around, but plenty of bug spray will take care...More

Great beach for little kids. Dont bother bringing people who want to swim here, though. At low tide, it will hit only as high as your knees, my oldest (5) went for a long walk out, looking for crabs. My 2 yo liked to sit...More

This was the most beautiful most calm beach I have visited yet in Massachusetts. There are no high waves. When low tide you can walk out to an island it is so beautiful. Many shells, sand dollars, little creatures for children to find and play on the beach.

Clean beach and clear water. The water temperature is cold, but still one of the best in the region.

This is easily one of the best beaches in MA. Gorgeous views, wonderful sandbars at low tide, great rocks for tide pool exploration... Just make sure you arrive by 9am on the weekends once summer vacation starts!!! Parking is TIGHT.

We go to WB at least once a summer and we are never disappointed. The beach is clean, water is clear and cold, entertaining to watch the boats go in and out of the harbor, but the parking - OUCH - $30 on the weekends...More

I have been coming to Wingaersheek beach for 40 years and have always loved it. I like to jog to the castles at the end of the beach and jump in the water and swim around a bit.

Great for kids to explore rocks. Waters are calm. Beach is small so get there super early to get a parking spot. We waited in traffic for nearly an hour and got turned away.

They are out - I went on a day that was 90 and sunny on July 10. We went from 3-6pm and thankfully it was breezy. When we tried to get out of the water and play on the sand near our beach tent - my husband and I got bit a... More

I would like to let you know that they do not open until 8 am nut if it is extremely warm you would want to be there early in line to get parking.
