Pros: Beautiful clean beach. The tides are neat to see and create a sandbar. The scenery is just great. It is worth seeing, especially with children. Cons: The public restrooms & showers close early (6:00). Parking pass is needed.

Such a beautiful beach! Loved being able to walk so far along the beach, especially at low tide. When low tide is a long walk to the water. Quiet beach with beautiful homes along the shore.

We wanted to see tide pools so we went to Wingaersheek Beach at low tide. We did find some shrimp in a tide pool, but not much else. We enjoyed watching the sea gulls and walking around collecting shells and sand dollars. It is a...More

Quiet day, beach is lovely. There are several rocks to wander around and on. Beach is smaller when there is high tide. But you can walk out very far at low tide. Enjoyable afternoon.

This is a great beach at low tide. There are tide pools to explore and a sand bar that you can walk to. It's in a cove so there are no big waves. Great for small children.

Great family destination! We take many family day trips here. The water is full of fish so bring your rod.

Wingaersheek Beach is across the channel on the Annisquam River facing Annisquam. It is a popular destination for summer bathing and picnic activity. At low tide it is fun to walk out to the sandbar.

We didn't see any flies when we were there. No insects of any kind, actually!

I think you will be able to get a spot. It's good to go either early am or later afternoon. I'm not sure about here, but a Good Harbor beach parking is cheaper after 3 and free after 5.
If the parking lot is full, is there another place to park to get to this beach? I don't mind walking. Thanks!

No, not really. There is no on-street parking and it's over two miles to the next road. Some folks take a taxi in!
