Deliana Gorge wasn't exactly in our plans, but it was a nice surprise. It isn't a hard hike, it's rather an intense walk. During 2 hours walking you'll watch a lot of sheep, goats and even several vultures. At the start there is a little...More

Travelling from Aghia Marina towards Kissamos on the national road you exit when sign posted Deliana Gorge. Wear walking boots preferably and a hat and take water. After the village of Deliana there is a sign post which indicates the gorge. The track down to...More

I made this walk in January, on a sunny day. No people, only us. It is easy to walk, smooth ups and downs. Vultures, goats and wild flowers almost ready for spring. Take a bottle of water with you.

Access to the gorge is on a dirt track which leaves the road at the south western edge of Deliana village. The track is in reasonable condition (no need for four wheel drive!) and after a couple of kilometres a shaded parking area is reached...More

This is a great alternative to a whole day walk down the Samaria Gorge. Located on the outskirts of Deliana, sign posted as you drive out of the village. The start point is down a rough, but drivable, track that ends at a small carpark....More

I went here on April 30th without knowing first that I was going. I wished for water especially since I'd been drinking heavily the previous night. The Gorge is amazing we saw and photographed Dragon Arum plants, lizards, Griffon Vultures and swallowtail butterflies.
