We took the ferry to Martha's vineyard and the 60 minute sail was great. We didn't know that we had the option to ferry our SUV as well so we had to take the buses to get around at Martha's.

The ferry to Nantucket from Hyannis was super simple. It would have been nice for the cafe on board to offer more healthy options, but overall, the experience was just fine.

Fun ride to Martha's Vineyard. Long line to board moves fairly quickly. I always go up top and hang out on the rail to watch the scenery. The inside can get humid and crowded. I prefer the fresh air. There is food on board. Also,...More

Yes you can, and if you go to Steamship authority website and they can get you rates and prices. Unless you need a car for any length of time you might be better off to rent a vehicle on island as the rates are lower now... More

Our hi-speed ferry did not take cars. You will find it very pricey to take a car on either island. I suggest one of the tour buses or a taxi to get around the island.
