Hyannis is a village in Barnstable that is filled with the feeling of history, restaurants, and little shops. The village is geared for people with great little shops on both sides of the street. Nightlife, in the summer, is bustling late into the night.

We enjoyed waking down Main Street to the harbour. There were lots of unusual shops. Also lots of restaurants. We followed the historical trail. Which gave us a good feel of the history of Hyannis.

Walked the length of Main Street while staying at the Anchor Inn by the harbour. The first several blocks are just houses, but eventually reached the shop & restaurant section. We had cocktails in one of the bars and found it pleasant enough, but the...More

A great place to get a bite to eat, stroll along the street and go shopping, go in the museums or galleries, or head to the beach or marina.

Yes! When you are facing the harbor, take a left and follow Ocean Street up to the set of lights. Across the street is a pathway that goes through the Village Green and brings you right to Main Street.
