Castle on the Hill isn't a castle, but a very nice stately home built by the Crane family (think porcelain for bathrooms). The grounds and house are immaculately well kept. It was pouring with rain the day we went, so we plan to go back...More

The grounds, gardens, and mansion are impeccably maintained. While not as grand or opulent as the Newport Mansions, the mansion is beautiful and grounds/gardens are some of the prettiest in New England!

What a Gorgeous place. The house is magnificent and the grounds incredibly beautiful. As breath taking as the mansions in Newport. Take the guided tour, it is well worth the money.

yes, the hours posted are accurate. There are limited times and days to visit, but you can drive out to this place most days and drive through the estate grounds, get out and walk around or just go siteseeing as a hike.
