Review Highlights
Great view of the area

There are several hiking trails and great exercise. The only down side is lack of picnic facilities.

I’ll have to say being at the highest point in mass was awesome. All the rangers and employees were helpful with questions I’ll have to say the coolest was the people paragliding off the side of the mountain

In Lanesboro, Ma. it's the highest peak in Ma. Beautiful drive up the mountain if you choose not to hike it, lots of switchbacks but fun all the same with some nice vistas. During season there is a charge to park and on weekends that...More

My wife and I did a quick hike on the Bradley Farm Trail at the south end of the reservation. Not too overly strenuous, and the scenery was beautiful, even in December. Very quiet also. Good place that we plan to explore further in the...More

Easy to access the summit road from behind the City Clerk's office building across the bridge (turn immediately right). Winding road with various look-outs. Easy driving to the summit, which has a shop and open viewing areas across the valleys. This is the highest point...More

Fabulous vistas at this war memorial site, for hikers reaching the summit or school kids on a road trip. There is an inn up there, too, serving meals and with rooms to stay, $40 in the dorm or $125 for a private room. Thus panoramic...More

It was a beautiful drive up the mountain. As we got closer to the top there were low clouds. So the view from the veterans memorial was white:( no fall foliage. It was all good though, the drives up and down were awesome!

The view was great, and it was a peak leaf season weekday, but this year's colors just aren't that spectacular. Perhaps it's the lack of rain? Anyway, it was still a great view. We drove part way up and then hiked the rest. The hiking...More

Cheshire Reservoir and Onata & Pontoosuc lakes are all right in the area, at the base of the mountain. I'm not sure if any offer kayaks to rent, but your hotel or lodge may know. The area is beautiful!
