We want to go there again. On the day we visited, there was a cold spell the higher we went. Along the road we saw beautiful icicles coming down the rock walls where the water slowly drips from them. When we got to the top,...More

Visiting in mid-late October, we missed all the fall foliage at the mountain peaks, but also missed the crowds. We had no problem finding parking at the summit or at the trails. At this time of year it was quite chilly (~36°F), so be sure...More

Went to Mt Greylock for the first time. We got lucky with absolutely perfect early September weather. We started on the Jones Nose Trail parking area and hiked 4 miles from there to reach the summit of Mt Greylock (8 miles round trip). The hike...More

On a beautiful early Fall day we enjoyed a most pleasant driving tour of Mount Greylock. The weather was picture perfect, dry, clear with a few puffy clouds and 75 F. First stop was a check-in at the Visitor Center. We had a nice visit...More

Loved doing a couple of hikes here and that the trails were in good condition and well marked. Rounds Rock trail is fairly short and easy, Sperry Road to Stoney Ledge was a good one too, with the bonus of available drinking water. Driving up,...More

We recently camped in the Berkshires and before the weather went soggy on us, we drove up to the summit of Mount Greylock. It was a beautiful drive (despite the fog moving in on us) and there are several trails that zig-zag the mountain for...More

Cheshire Reservoir and Onata & Pontoosuc lakes are all right in the area, at the base of the mountain. I'm not sure if any offer kayaks to rent, but your hotel or lodge may know. The area is beautiful!
