I found Animagic's website a year or two ago and became entranced about sharing the experience with one of our grandsons. Since he was very young - he has been declaring his desire to be an animator. He is 17 now, and while he doesn't talk specifically about being an animator these days, his love of movies, movie history, etc.... More

The storefront doesn't look like much from the outside and even when you go in you start to wonder what this is all about, but then Mr. Mamut lets you behind the curtain and the magic starts. He himself is part of the museum and you can tell that this has been his passion for over 40 years. The displays... More

Eugene met us at 9am for a quirky, but fun tour followed by a clay motion animation experience for my 3 boys (8,10,12). They loved it! Perfect ages and all 3 are interested in science, magic, and technology. They can't stop doing animation stuff on their phones now - thank you for a very unique experience !

First hand teaching of anmation history and you get hands on experience making a animated short with an Oscar winner. In beautiful Lee Ma. Mr Mamut is entertaining, knowledgeable, and loves his work and it shows. This museum proves size doesnt matter. Go to Animagic for a unique and fantastic good time.

Mr Mamut is an octagenerian with the energy of a twenty year old who tirelessly shows you how animation is done and then for an hour schools you in making your own to be viewed on you tube. Mr Mamut won an Oscar for animation in the movie the Predator. If you are looking for a rainy day activity look... More

We had fun learning about the different techniques that are used to trick your eyes and create illusions. The kids had great fun creating the claymation.

The museum is in a tiny storefront, but it includes several very interesting displays and demonstrations that are fun for kids and will give you an appreciation for some of the effects and animations in film, including some big Hollywood movies. The animation lesson is better for younger kids and relies on some older computer programs but is a fun... More

We learned of this and thought it would be good for our granddaughters (11 years). They had a tour of the museum and then sat down to make a clay figure and did and stop action animation with the figure. We thought it would be more hands on and using a computer. The girls do programming (or coding) and have... More

Animagic is a chance to learn all about animation and learn how to do it yourself. My kids LOVED this. The whole experience is guided by the owner who had a long career in movie animation and is willing to pass that on. He was extremely patient with the kids and made for a great experience.

We heard about Animagic while staying at the Vacation Village in the Berkshires. We hadn't heard of it before, but it sounded like it would be something that would be fun and catch the attention of our kids (age 7,10, and 13). It was fantastic. My wife and I really enjoyed it too. We learned a lot about how animation... More
