One of New England's most scenic graveyards, it affords a view of Old Marblehead, the harbor, and the sea. It was established in 1638 at the site of Marblehead’s first meeting house and is the burial site of some 600 Revolutionary soldiers, most in...more

Old Burial Hill has a great view of the water and it near to Crowninshield Island, I'd recommend going to both since they're close together, if you can go to the island at low tide so you can cross over and see what's on this...More

Old old cemetary.. 1638 I believe?! Mrs. Redd, victim of Salem witch trials is buried here along with Puritans and about 600 revolutionary war soldiers. Rocky, hilly, historical grave stones and very cool. In the spring they have toy sailboat races on Redd's pond. There's...More

An old cemetery with graves dating back to the early settlers. A wonderful historic site and place for both reverence and to enjoy the history.

Can only be reached by climbing a staircase but it was worth the climb. As with everything in Marblehead, parking is an issue.

This is a burial ground that goes back to the 17th century, is easily accessible, has great views of the surrounding area, and is very well kept by a proud community. Worth a visit for those who are interested in early American history.

This was so neat. I was in town with my mother for Halloween so roaming through this old graveyard felt fitting at the time. I saw some tombstones from as far back as the 1600s and these are the kind with skulls and crossbones, the...More

Old Burial Hill is a hidden treasure with one of the best views in town. Redd's Pond is adjacent to it. Kids fish and people race remote controlled boats. Visit the graves themselves. The headstones tell many a story.

The nicest thing is he quiet. the second nicest is the view. The cemetery itself is rather boring unless you want to do grave rubbings

Very cool place to be in Marblehead. Awesome views and place to commune with nature. Great place to explore a little bit outside the old town.
