Vine Lake Cemetery continues to evolve. From its geological beginnings, it has a varied terrain and natural beauty. Human ideas about death, landscape design, and visitor needs have continually transformed the cemetery since its founding in 1651. Through it all, it has remained a peaceful and dignified open space for the dead to rest and for the living to visit and enjoy.

I enjoy walking there and reading all of the stones and meeting some of the same people time after time. The town of Medfield does a great job keeping the cemetery beautiful.

This is a gorgeous cemetery, with a man-made pond where children and adults fish. There are so many varieties of wild-flowers and flora it's a gorgeous place to sit and think, or if you're artsy-fartsy, like me; bring your art supplies and sketch.

Great roads and paths for walking. The stones are interesting to read. Great landscaping. The pond is stocked for fishing. Good for biking. Enter from main street or side street.

This is a lovely and historic cemetery, dating to the late 17th century. (There are still spaces available.) It is topographically interesting and laid out in an appealing way. There is a pond and pretty shaded areas and it seems quite well maintained by the...More

The term "Hidden Gem" is overused but this really is. If you live locally and have never been here you are missing sometime special. The Cemetery is divided into sections with the old section near Route 109 containing graves and memorials dating back to the...More

Beautiful to walk or bike through. Fishing in season. Great place to bring kids to fish. Opens up to both Rt 109 and back roads for biking or walking.
