We've been here twice since June 2017: to see The Zombies and just last week to see Petula Clark. The acoustics are great. We sat in the front row balcony both times, and the view was great. There is enough sloping, at least in the...More

Classic theater in downtown Northampton, it will remind you of an old Broadway Theater. Wooden seats, creaky wooden floors add to the charm of this great old theater. The Calvin hosts a wide variety of musicians and comedians several nights of the week. I've seen...More

We have now been to the Calvin 4 times to see various performers. This is a great little venue. There is not a bad seat in the house as we have sat in different spots each time. The sound is good there and for me...More

The Calvin is an okay place to see a show. It's certainly better than the Iron Horse, not quite as nice as The Academy of Music. I've seen many a show at the Calvin over the years and have noticed a real decline in the...More

This theater is perfect for seeing a show. It's just the right size and every seat is a good one. There's a bar as well!

The show we saw was excellent...the below review is strictly about the theater. Small historical theater that also has balcony seating. Well positioned stage with optimal viewing from almost all angles. Seats were comfortable with plenty of leg room. The below may be event specific:...More

At the Calvin to see Get The Led Out, a Zep cover band (best band around doing Zep covers). Theater was easy to find, right across the street from the Hotel Northampton where we had a fine meal. There was quite a line for "will...More

We have been here several times, and it seems that each time it is dirtier and more run-down. Right now even the sign in front is broken. This could be a very good concert venue if the owner would fix it up.

The theater has great sound quality but could use a bit of refurbishing! I would go back and see another concert...soon!!

Have seen a number of concert tours and comedians at the Calvin. Nice size theater and all seats offer a good view. I would recommend buying tickets in advance instead of waiting to pick them up at "will call" or buying at the box office...More
