Comfy walk to town for good food and shopping

Easy to get around town either walking or bus system. The gingerbread style homes are so beautiful and quaint. The smell of flowers and the water views were spectacular!

This is the main drag of Oak Bluffs. Lots of stores and restaurants. Some of the stores are a little tacky but there are also a bunch of interesting local products. It's well worth the walk. Be sure to check out the Martha's Vineyard Camp meeting Association (MVCMA) just past the end of the shopping area.

Martha's Vineyard has been crowded with the presidential visits and all of the hoopla. We went over on Saturday and couldn't have picked a better day. We went on the Island Queen which is my favorite way to travel but I was very disappointed in the fall schedule being implemented given the gorgeous weather. We took the town bus to... More

This is the heart of Oak Bluffs shopping, restaurants and music scene. I became addicted to Linda Jean's blueberry pancakes. Try Down Island restaurant for a dinner experience of fun and fabulous with a simple and soulful atmosphere . Stop in and shop at C'est la vie, meet the friendly and knowledgeable owners. Pick up a few souvenirs, jewelry or... More

My husband and I stayed in Oak Bluffs, so I knew we had to go through Circuit Ave at least once to check everything out! We had a nice time - there are a handful of restaurants, clothing stores, etc. to check out. If you are looking for more high end shopping, I would head to Edgartown instead. We did... More

This is the primary street to peruse for gifts, clothing and good eats. They have good quality merchandise on this street and a few cheaper things to cover the gamut. This is also in walking distance to the carousel. They also have some very unique craft stores, a general store and coffee shops, etc.

Circuit Ave is one of the islands tourists traps. The street is loaded with shops, restaurants and island memorabilia. You may catch a party or parade on the street depending on what's happening, but you can't visit the island without walking Circuit Ave.

Circuit Ave in Oaks Bluff is the most like the beach towns in Maryland and New Jersey then any other spot on the Vineyard. It's one souvenir shop after another and they are all pretty much selling the same stuff. It's the least unique of all of the Vineyard towns and tends to be the most crowded/rowdiest.
