This beach has always been a favorite. This time we came as a couple, but it is a wonderful beach for families. At low tide you can walk out for a mile. Great for searching tidal pools and making sand castles. Fun to check out...More

Arrived at low tide and experienced the beauty of an extraordinary beach. The oyster beds are sprinkled over the large area which extends to Rock Harbor beach, and miles of heavenly walking with charming families and sea life abound in this spot.

We took our 18 mo grandson to Skaket beach during low tide and it was awesome. He had a blast he was able to run around and play and it felt very intimate and safe

Always fun for bocce, waboba and paddle ball at low tide. Walk the beach to rock harbor for lobster rolls.

Skaket beach is unique in that every 6 hours it completely changes from low tide and incredible walking and sand castle opportunities to high tide and great swimming. It is a perfect beach for small children when the tide is low and great skim boarding...More

This bay side beach is a great place to explore at low tide. Wander out to gather shells and find crabs. Town parking right at the beach or park down the road and walk up to save the $20 fee.

Although we had to get the family up early to get to the beach right at low tide, it was well worth it!! At low tide you can walk straight out into the ocean for a mile and never even touch the water. It was...More

I've seen canopies and every type of umbrella you can imagine. The only place you can't set up is in the path of the lifeguard chair.
